Nurture Housing is proud to work in close partnership with service providers to ensure our tenants receive the highest standard of care and support. One such inspiring collaboration is with First Things First, a new initiative led by the passionate and dedicated Angie McManus.
On 11th July 2025, Angie warmly welcomed Nurture Housing staff to the official opening of her new premises. First Things First is a safe and supportive space open to anyone currently in—or working towards—recovery from substance misuse. The centre offers a wide range of wellbeing and social activities, as well as practical support for those transitioning into new accommodation.
A particularly thoughtful feature of the service is the provision of start-up packs for vulnerable individuals. These include essential but often overlooked items such as bedding, towels, and kitchenware—small comforts that make a big difference when starting afresh.
Angie’s work is powered by the generosity of community donations, and Nurture Housing was delighted to contribute to this vital cause. We’re honoured to support Angie in her mission to uplift and empower those on the path to recovery.
